Notes: Hello Mah Jongg enthusiasts! I have been teaching National Mah Jongg League Mah Jongg since my kids were young...and I'm now a grandmother. I teach "Mah Jongg for Beginners and Refreshers" through Access CVU in Hinesburg, VT; at other Chittenden County venues; and for small groups by request. At CVU High School, I facilitate four evening sessions starting with simplified hands and working up to the more complex hands on the NMJL cards in week 3 and 4. Notes: I have taught over 500 students in the past 4 years. I run a 5 session class that meets for 10 hours. Using NMJL rules, I teach a combination of rules, strategies, and how to master the Mah Jongg card. I volunteer my time but the class fee supports programming at my local synagogue where the classes take place. After learning to play, there are weekly opportunites to attend a drop in session and play with other players at a speed at your comfort level.
